The Queensland Road Teams Series (QRTS) is the premier state teams in Queensland run from June to October in 2017. Since its inception, the series has been a development series to create strong racing in Queensland and provide a pathway to the NRS and international events.
The 2017 series is a four race series, with events in Moreton Shire, Warwick, Gympie and Sunshine Coast. Riders will be riding for an overall general classification based on time for each of these events which will reward the riders with points that go towards the final series standings.
A maximum of 6 and a minimum of 4 riders will be eligible to compete in the QRTS Men’s category at any given round.
A maximum of 5 and a minimum of 3 riders will be eligible to compete in the QRTS Women’s category at any given round.

SERIES GENERAL CLASSIFICATION
The QRTS will be won on points which will be allocated to the individuals after each round based on the General Classification. The allocation of points is as follows:
All competitors finishing within the time limit will be allocated 5 points each
SPRINT KING & QUEEN
Sprint classification points will be awarded to the rider with the highest number of points accumulated from intermediate sprints and event finishes.
KING & QUEEN OF THE MOUNTAIN
The King & Queen of the Mountain classification leader will be the rider with the highest number of points accumulated from King & Queen of the Mountain sprints.
YOUNG RIDER CLASSIFICATION
Riders who were born between 1995 & 2001 (inclusive) will be eligible to accumulate points in the Young Rider Classification. Points in this category will mirror those listed for the General Classification Category.
MASTERS 40+ CLASSIFICATION
Riders who were born in 1977 or before will be eligible to accumulate points in the Masters Category. Points in this category will mirror those listed for the General Classification Category.
The Teams Classification for the series will be decided by the points of the three best placed riders of each team added together after each event.
