Enter as an Individual Female and be placed in a composite team to race in one of Australia’s premier state series, the Queensland Road Team Series (QRTS).
The QRTS comprises of three rounds of racing. Each round is different with an assortment of events including team time trials, road races, hill finishes, criteriums, and sprint segments.
Are you an individual female without a team?
All individual riders are encouraged to enter. The Queensland Road Team Series (QRTS) caters for individual female riders with Women’s A, B and C Grade categories. And you can enter as an individual for the whole series or select rounds.
Individual entrants shall be grouped with other individual riders, creating composite teams. All individuals in the composite teams will qualify for podium positions, gain points within the series that go towards the overall general classifications and have the opportunity to race in any Team Time Trial. Individuals in composite teams may compete for the highly sought-after GC, Sprint, QOM and Young Riders Jersey.

The cost of entering as an individual is $160. Individual riders cannot be a registered member of a QRTS registered team. Individual entrants are required to complete a manual entry form. Riders are asked to register your interest ASAP with fees being processed 10 days out from the event. Competitors must have entered 10 days before each round.
Do you have a team, but are unable to commit to all three rounds of the QRTS?
In each round of the QRTS there are 2 positions for Wild Card Teams. These are teams that are unable to commit to the entire series but wish to experience the QRTS. For teams wishing to apply and secure their chance of a Wild Card Entry, applications need to be sent to Cycling Queensland at firstname.lastname@example.org. The cost of registering per round is $875.
There are prizes provided at each round of the QRTS. Unlike previous years, monetary prizes will not be distributed in 2018. This decision was made following discussion and support from registering teams. The agreement was that these funds shall go towards the safety and promotion of the series, which benefits all participants and the future of the event.
There has been excellent growth in the participation of Women cycling in Queensland this year. If you know anyone who you think should be involved in the QRTS, spread the word and together let’s get behind the women’s peloton for 2018 QRTS.
